My dad makes this chili several times every winter, and it’s always a hit! When I was in high school, my friends always found a way to be at our house when dad had a pot of this simmering on the stove! I simmer mine in the crockpot now, but still eat it the way he served it…over rice with toppings of our choice (cheese, sour cream, chips, crackers)!
Dad’s Chili:
1lb ground turkey, browned
1pkg smoked turkey sausage, chopped (or pulsed in food processor)
2 cans chili beans
1 28oz can crushed tomatoes
1 15oz can tomato sauce
2C chicken broth
2 TBSP chili powder
2 tsp cumin
