See Mindy Mom
My Story
If you’re looking for extraordinary, you’ve come to the wrong place. I’m just a regular ole’ gal in the middle of America, follower of Christ, wife to Daniel, and mom to three delightful children: Ruthie, McKenna, and Brick. In 2018, Daniel and I packed up our family and moved across the state to Tulsa. I decided to take a brief hiatus from my teaching career and start a YouTube channel as a new hobby and creative outlet. My “brief hiatus” became indefinite as the channel grew, and I knew where God was calling me: to make helpful content that is kind, positive, and realistic. It’s a [cyber] jungle out there in this digital age. Social media can provide creative ideas and resources as well as community with people who are walking through the same season of life. But it can also create feelings of anxiety or encourage comparison (the thief of joy) if we aren’t careful to filter what we consume online through an “every day, real life” lens. This is at the heart of my endeavors with See Mindy Mom. I let my audience see how I’m “momming” through these family years in a mostly average, occasionally underwhelming, never perfect, but realistic way in hopes of giving ideas and inspiration to all the families out there just trying to bring order out of chaos. This is a place where families can find genuine encouragement and practical strategies. So grab your coffee cup (or your water bottle) and take a peek at what’s keeping our household humming during these busy years. I hope you find something useful to implement in your own home!
